What Does Your Spiritual Barometer Say About You?

 In Uncategorized

There is no need to watch the nightly news. You can simply look around your community  & you can clearly see that we are entering a new era! More and more people (Baby Boomers, Generation X & even the Millennials) are looking for a connection to God. To know that God is in control and that He is the one and only true God. Everywhere you go in life, so does your life’s barometer. There is no escaping the fact that is attached to you. And just by looking at your spiritual barometer. You can gauge where your spiritual life is at. You can quickly determine if you are progressing or stagnate, about to dry-up or prospering. Want to know what it is?

Your involvement in the Word of God. Yup, it is that simple!

“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” ~Hebrews 4:12

The Word is the barometer by which we measure spiritual maturity. Spiritual maturity is not automatic because of the mastery of scriptural teachings. Of course, that is an essential element in attaining maturity, but of itself, it cannot produce maturity. It is quick (alive) and the Life in it (or rather in HIM) is what translated (raised) us from spiritual death and became our everlasting, eternal, endless Life. Eternal Life is a state of being but it is also a state of constant growth in Him. It is the “Christ IN you – the Mystery that so many of us fail to understand because we have not given ourselves over unconditionally. We continue to live with an earthly mindset. Don’t try to change your flesh – it is dead. It is about the salvation of our SOUL. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.

“Dividing asunder of the SOUL and SPIRIT”: The natural soul and the born-again human spirit. How far apart are they? The more your soul agrees with your spirit man, the more mature you will be. The less your mind is in agreement with the things of this “natural” realm, the more you will walk as a son.

As many as allow themselves to be led by the spirit of God, they are the SONS of God“. ~ Romans 8:14

Because maturity is related to an infinite God, our maturity will never be absolute but only relative. It is a goal unattainable in this life, but it can be a dynamic process involving constant progress. I Have One Last Question For You?
